Kathleen graduated with honours from Sheridan College and has worked in many aspects of aesthetics for 30 years, including Advanced skincare, laser hair removal, electrolysis, thermocoagulation, advanced podology treatments, eyelash extensions and airbrush spray tans, teeth whitening, cosmetics, and teaching. A true professional, she’s dedicated to keeping up with new technologies and trends through continuing education, product seminars, and trade shows.
Kathleen is educated in and specializes in advanced facial treatments, including laser skin rejuvenation photo facials, and thermal coagulation, which include the removal of sun spots, solar keratosis, broken capillaries, rosacea, and skin tags. She is well-educated in chemical peels, microdermabrasion, light therapy, micro-needling, and skin care. Laser hair removal, using a triple wave length diode laser as well as electrolysis. Safe and natural eyelash enhancements, as well as specializing in therapeutic footcare for treating skin and nail conditions and foot diseases, including athlete’s foot, nail fungus, fissures, ingrown nails, wooded nails, and other issues of the feet. She’s also educated in gait analysis and biomechanics of the foot and lower limb.
As a member of the International Pedicure Association, Kathleen follows high infection control standards. She’s a strong advocate of safety practices and maintains the strict standards and guidelines set forth by Health Canada. When an object is sterilized correctly, no microbiological life forms remain alive. To avoid cross-contamination, some influences are single-use or come in pre-sterilized individual packages. Kathleen implements hospital-grade disinfecting solutions for the spa and the highest quality hospital-grade solutions for all implements.

Nowadays, it’s hard to find an Esthetician you can trust and rely on. Kathleen is the owner and operator of Beautopia, and she is an awesome Esthetician who is kind, caring and accommodating. Until two years ago, I was a regular client of the only accredited luxury spa facility in the Golden Horseshoe. At the suggestion of a friend, I decided to give Beautopia a try. Needless to say, I have not returned to the other spa. Kathleen is knowledgeable and highly trained. Her facility is clean, well-equipped, and serene. I enjoy the completely professional yet relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend Kathleen and Beautopia.
I have known Kathleen for over 10 years and have found Kathleen to be honest, reliable, hard-working, conscientious and courteous. Kathleen has a long list of skills and abilities she can provide. However, I only ever get regular pedicures and manicures a couple of times a year. She is very personable with me and its a joy, and a time to relax when I go there. If you want a personal touch and a private place, I would recommend Kathleen and Beautopia.
My favourite outing to Beautopia is Kathleen’s Swedish Relaxation Massage. Kathleen is so professional yet very warm and welcoming. I have enjoyed many visits for manicures, pedicures, massages, hair removal, and makeup advice. I am impressed with the number of courses she has taken to offer such a wide range of services. Also, a favourite gift in my ladies walking group for any milestone birthday is a gift certificate for a special treat at Beautopia! I always look forward to my visits with Kathleen!
